Progress for parabellum not updating

Product: Battlefield 1
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Summarize your bug The "shoot down 2 planes with LMGs" requirement for the parabellum didn't update after I shot a plane down.
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I guess try to shoot down a plane with a perino but its not easy
What happens when the bug occurs? I don't get the gun I've been dying repeatedly over

In what game mode did the bug occur? Conquest

I shot down a plane with the perino LMG and didn't get progress towards the lightweight parabellum unlock.

It was the last plane kill I needed and I'm not relishing having to do it again. To be honest, this is a ridiculous unlock requirement because you can only get about 16 damage on a plane as it flies over head, and anyone sane will bail out of a plane with such low health as you plink it to death with your tiny LMG. I don't really know what you guys were thinking putting "destroy" instead of "disable" or "x amount of damage". This is totally situational and encourages skill stealing behavior. Basically, you guys are jerks. Anyway, whatever, please fix this.

    Considering I've unlocked this weapon at least on PC side of things, I am pretty sure this assignment is not bugged. I used myself Benét–Mercié Telescopic on Monte Grappa.

    Have you done the rest of the requirements for the weapon already and you didn't get it unlocked ? Sometimes the update feed takes it sweet time to update itself, but the weapon should unlock immediately if you have done everything else required for it. In other words, it should record the progress immediately even if it displays it delayed.

    But yeah, as long as you get "Vehicle destroyed" , it should count. Unless Perino specifically wouldn't be the cause and that specific weapon wouldn't count progress being a new weapon included and all. That one I unfortunately can't test myself as I've done this assignment already.

    @RedFoxxie,

    I´ve done that yesterday and shot down 2 planes in one round with the Perino, it does definitely count. 

    Monte Grappa really is the best map for this, I stayed at flag E, repairing the Flak several times and hitting planes with it, then finished them off with the Perino.

    @arbitrary545, you should be able to do this as well, keep trying. The Parabellum is really worth it 🙂
