PS3 1.06 patch fails to download

Every time I try to download the patch it times out and gives me the following error message:

An error occurred during the download operatoin.

(80710092)

Same thing happens on my friend's PS3 on his own router, so it seems unlikely my network config is the problem. Any ideas?

edit: fixed, manually entered DNS and it's good to go.
