[PS3] update 1.15 error

I have downloaded the new patch ver.1.15 3 times for ps3 and keeps giving me corrupted file error code 80029564 I've read that others were having issues, is there a fix?

    go to network settings, go to manual setup, confirm your IP address click automatic setup when it asks for your primary DNS, go to custom and enter thiese addresess Primary 208.67.222.222 and Secondary 208.67.220.220, then disable UPnP, complete settings, run test, and should pass, when completed, go disable Media Server Connection.

    Worked for me too...

For all the people who the DNS fix didn't work for read this,I found the orginal fix (for some thru checking recognized public DNS servers) this seems to be where the problem lies so here is a list of reputable Public DNS servers to choose the addresses from.. My word of caution, unless your using Google or CIsco's DNS i wouldn't keep it after downloading BF4 update just to be absolutely safe. You can try these DNS addresses im sure one of them is bound to work I'd try cisco since that is a westcoast DNS and there have been no problems in that area with the update.

I checked the safety aspect as well before attempting this fix and Public DNS servers which cater to big businesses are actually pretty safe compared to cable DNS's. They make their money by ensuring extra secure Internet to companies. Keep in mind we are changing the DNS on a PS3 as well which further minimizes the risk as well as the fact most people will only use it for the time it takes for the download. Make sure Media server is disabled and UPNP is disabled as well as that seemed to play into the original fix, delete all corrupt data from your PS3 .. Good luck to every unfortunate BF4 customer, we shouldn't have to go through this.

IF ANY OF THESE WORK FOR YOU I IMPLORE YOU TO COPY AND PASTE THIS LIST AND THE ADDRESS THAT WORKED. LETS LOOK OUT FOR OUR FELLOW BATTLEFIELDERS.  think of it as the icebucket challenge for BF4 THE TIME HAS COME TO GET EVERYONE IN GAME WITH OR WITHOUT DICE's help good luck!

    This is from the website Open DNS  the address used by the fix..  Here are instructions how to install on PS3 which differs slightly and allows UPNP, doesn't mention turning off media servers either so maybe try it without disabling these.

    From the PS3 Menu choose: Settings -> Network Settings -> Internet Connection Settings -> Custom

    Set up these settings so they match the following:

    Connection Method: Choose Wireless or Wired ... however you connect

    For Wireless:
    WLAN Settings: Select Scan > Select your network
    WLAN Security Setting: Select the security setting for your network
    WEP/WPA Key: Enter your network password

    For Wired:
    Operation Mode (Auto-Detect or Manual Settings): Auto-Detect

    Then:
    IP Address Setting: Automatic
    DHCP Host name: Do Not Set
    DNS Settings: Manual
    Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222 
    Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220
    MTU: Automatic
    Proxy Server: Do Not Use
    UPnP: Enable

      bangbangshimp3 thanks it worked. Note: you have to do it with a USB cable. I tried it WiFi, and it didn't work. USB worked. I played Battlefield4, and it frooze once.

        you mean ethernet cable?  Im guessing well thats good news if you got in and you were one of the ones who couldn't.
