Punk Buster Ban

I feel your pain and I have done a number of things to try and rectify this new wave of PB errors, such as repairing, reinstalling, udating PunkBuster and also ensuring that PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB services are running in 'services.msc'. Double checking that both have excesions listed in Windows Firewall.

It doesn't appear to make any difference whatsoever as the glitch is no doubt on PunkBuster's end. Attemting to ost this in the EA forums only results in being met equally by other gamers exeriencing this as well as hostility from forum trolls. Worse still the the moderater there appears to maniulate the post in a rather unusual and worrying manner and then locks it. Suffice to say that the moderator gave imression on his final ost that if unkBuster have kicked me then I am a cheat regardless... Never mind that I've never cheated in a Battlefiled game in my life and never will do because 1. I hate cheaters and 2. I love the challenge and the hard difficulty of the Battlefield games online (when they work) and 3. I wouldn't even know or want to know how to hack a game and don't even use game develoers 'own' unlock cheat codes that are legitimate.

Still it's worth posting it there at the Battllelog forums as the more posts that are seen regarding this issue, then the more it may be realised that this is a genuine glitch with PunkBuster that needs addressing now. Good luck, we all need it. I had a few days off from work with plans to play BF3 and now thats down the drain.

"Cheat/Hack Violations: When PunkBuster detects a cheat or hack by repeated positive identification on a player's computer, a violation is raised. These violation numbers are 50000 and higher. To help resolve issues involving these violations, simply remove cheats and hacks from your computer."

However, what are we to do when we know there are no cheats/hacks to remove from our system and we know for a fact that this is a false positive. Another screw up from EB. EA and EB both organizations severely lack support in this regard. Moderators in Battlelog forums are even more annoying and condescending by referring us to above useless link and closing threads. Without these threads, how is EA/EB to know that there really is a legit problem here that needs to be escalated and looked into? Or is EA's idea of support is to let us legit players suffer silently and sometimes for months until some idiot at EB realizes the mistake and confirms it? There doesn't seem to be any recourse for us legit players.

According to Punkbuster you have PB violation 81576, are from Alberta Canada but have 5 different IP addresses.   Based on this information the only thing that you can do is to appeal your ban at evenbalance.com with the Punkbuster peoplehere http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-viewban-93c40794-vb375217.html  - EA cannot assist in unbanning you in their non-EA thrid party system.

me too. I had sweetfx present for one game which i removed when i realised it might be an issue. played a few more games fine, then went looking for other games as i was always ending up on the same Noshahr Canal game with "quick match".

since then I am permanently banned (i played about 5 games over a couple of days on searched games then started getting kicks)

I don't understand why a simple n00b mistake merits a permaban from *all* battlefield games. I'm not modifying the game itself and I'm not cheating and i stopped doing it after 1 game. Arrrgh!
