Punk buster kick me. Battlefield 3.

Normally the first thing to do would be to repair installation by right-clicking on BF3 icon in Origin and selecting Repair Installation option, but as you reinstalled the game already, I guess that we can move to next point, updating Punkbuster.

1) Go to this site http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
2) When you scroll down a bit, there will be a table like one below. Click on hyperlink for the operating system you have.


3) When you do this, you will be moved to the page where you will be asked to write down the security code. Do it and download PBSetup.
4) Open PBSetup and select "Add a game" option. Select Battlefield 4 in "Game" window and then click "Add game". PBSetup will automatically download any necessary updates. When it's done, your Punkbuster will be up to date, and it will probably make these kicks stop.

Other than that, make sure that BF3 and Origin are on the whitelist of your firewall and close programs which might cause problems with Punkbuster (known examples include Rivatuner and MSI Afterburner).

Also, are you using Windows 10 by any chance?

Hello I am getting the same error on punkbuster.

Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'Loboson69' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Corrupted File/Memory [98080696]

This just started for me after the last update. 8/18/2015

I get in a game and a few minutes later I'm booted.

I discovered that the service is still running but, I get this error:

Windows was unable to open service, PnkBstrB for reading on local computer.

Error 1060: the specified service does not exist as an installed service.

I can reinstall PB and it works for about 5minutes then I get booted again.

and its the same thing over and over.

I only play BF3 and BF4 (not much of BF4 though to dark).

And yes I've even turned off my firewall & disabled my antivirus.

Help, this looks to be turning into a serious situation.

was playing bf3 on a server with someone and we both get this punkbuster  error code RESTRICTION: Corrupted File/Memory [98080696]. then later i went on my medal of honor warfighter and the same thing happened again this is a serious problem please advise and fix thank you.

I was playing Battlefield 3 with a friend and got this error code: RESTRICTION: Corrupted File/Memory [98080696]. It happened after the recent origin updated. BF4 and BFH have no problem. Please fix and patch. Thank You.

I've updated the punk buster, but it did not help. I still kicked from servers.

Okay, three questions for everyone with this issue:

1) When did these problems start?
2) What kind of OS are you using? Did you update it around the time the kicks started?
3) Have you tried to reinstall Punkbuster?

1) 08-19-2015;

2) I use Windows 10 since the beginning of August. Until 19 August had no such problems;

3) I reinstalled the punk buster.

Okay, first of all, a question: are you participating in Origin beta by any chance?

Well, regardless of the answer, one more thing to try: Uninstall Origin, then download it back from origin.com , go to Application Settings --> General --> Origin Beta and make sure that "Update to beta version when available" box is NOT checked - just like on this screenshot.

I have long been installed the beta version of the Origin.
