Punkbuster once again.

PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed.

I've been trying to connect to battlefield for a few days of course then getting kicked due to one or the other process not running( PnkBstrB.exe or A). If i hear the same speech about reinstallation or allowing them through the firewall(I've already tried these many times),  I will assume no additional help will be provided.

Ok, first delete the game completely, delete everything about the game on your PC. Second, delete your PB completely, leave no trace of it on your PC. Third, delete Origin completely, remove everything about it (see this page for more information: http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/ ) . After you do this, perform a clean boot of your Windows program. On how to do that, see this page here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 .

After you are finished, download Origin from this site: https://www.origin.com/en-ie/store/-ANW.html (press "Download" in the top right corner of the page), and install it. After you are finished, run it in Administrator mode.

Then do this steps (do not install the game from the disc):

    1.Go to Origin.

2.Log with the account, you registered your game on.

3.Go to "My Games" section of origin.

    4.Press your game icon.

    5.Press "Download".

5.After it is finished, install it and update it and you are all set to go.

    For expansions:

    1.Go to Origin.

2.Log with the account, you first registered your game on.

3.Go to "My Games" section of origin.

    4.Press your game icon.

5.Press "View Game Details" or the "i" button.

6.Scroll down and you will see your expansions, in your game expansion set.

    7.Press your game expansion icon.

    8.Press download.

9.When it is finished, install it and update it and you are all set to go.

After you have finished, try to play the game. Also before you start, delete your browser history.

If the error is still there, do all the steps above again and it should work.

First, do this steps: http://help.ea.com/en/article/battlefield-4-punkbuster-troubleshooting/ .

Also, try this additional steps, if the above does not work:

    1. Open windows firewall

    2. Click advanced settings( on the left) and then inbound (also left)

    3. Find PnkbstrA.exe and PnkbstrB.exe (if you have two of both, its fine)
    4. Right click on each of them>properties>programs and services
    5. Make sure that "all programs that meet the specifications" is checked
    6. Then go to the "Advanced" tab and check all 3 boxes. Domain, Private and Public.
    7. REMEMBER TO DO THIS FOR ALL PnkBstr Files. Then save and quit.
    8. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 and delete "Pb" folder.
    9. Go to these 2 links:
    http://websec.evenbalance.com/downloader/download.php?file=1
    http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
    10. Download and install both
    11. Run Pbsetup.exe (the first link)
    12. Add a game (eg. bf4)
    13. Check for updates.

Also, try to disable your firewall if it does not work.

  • I did everything you said and guess what happened once again. A Punkbuster Kick. Even after disabling my firewall I still recieved a kick after a minute of gameplay. I will await official instruction. If it mimics this sort of resolution, I hope that I can at least get a refund.

  • I said it multiple times. I did all the steps to a T. I once again uninstalled and reinstalled. Guess what happens next!?! It kicks me from the game.

Can you do a "Repair Game", just press your game icon in Origin and press "Repair Game".

After you do this, please do all the steps I posted above (both posts) again. Report back when you are done.

  • I did. It did exactly the same thing after saying punkbuster has already been installed.
