Hi @Abhijeetm31!

Since the premium pass is still free i suggest you to pick the standard edition and pick the premium pass on promotion (PC or Xbox or PS4).

Even if your friend doesn't own the premium pass you can still play with him on servers that don't run expansion packs maps, but i strongly suggest you to tell him about the free premium pass promo so you won't have problems playing toghether.

    Yeah, standard edition and free premium. It's a no brainer. If you went standard and he had revolution (ignoring the free premium pass) then there would be certain maps that you wouldn't be able to play together on. You could both play all the base game content together though.
