This is a very weird occurrence. Some things to look at and maybe to try is that it could be something with your internet. As you said that you have a slower internet. The game launch could be related to the internet issue of that it cannot connect to the servers. But the other to try is to see if uninstalling the game and re-installing it would change the outcome. I know you said you don't want to have to do this option but it is worth a shot! Come back with any questions or concerns you have!!
