Since toggling your weapon didn't solve the problem I recommend to rebuild your PS3's database as described here:  http://www.ps3blog.net/2011/01/28/tips-and-tricks-ps3-rebuild-database-faq-recovery-menu/

    First I'd like to thanks those who responded. I just got done rebuilding the hard drive..... and.... that did absolutely nothing!! I appreciate the effort bit that hasn't changed anything. I guess I'll just never be able to be on the battlefield again. Which is grounds for rioting!!!
