Re: Battlefield 4 High Ping for no reason PC

Hello,

I am having the exact same issue, I tried opening ports using portforward.com modifying my cisco router connected to my modem.

Unfortunately, my issue has not been fixed, no matter what I do. This happens on all Battlefield games (BF4, BF Bad Company 2, BFPlay4Free). However Titanfall, Left4Dead, CS, CS:GO, Far Cry 3 multiplayer works fine. What is it about battlefield multiplayer that's so different from other games?!?

Please help.

This has happened to me also. Exactly the same thing, I have been playing this game for a year straight nearly every day and no problems then all of a sudden I can't get into a single game without being kicked for 500+ ping! In the sever browser it tells me I have a good ping of 80 - 90, then as soon as the game starts the ping jumps up to 500+ and I get kicked. Also all other games on the same PC and on all other devices work fine in my house. We need a solid fix, the only part of this game I continue to play is the online multiplayer aspect but now I can't play it anymore,  and I havn't even been able to play final stand once

    • Now save the file as packetloss.cmd making sure that you select all files in the filetype drop down
    • Now run packetloss.cmd and let it finish it can take a while
    • Now upload the results to somewhere like pastebin or another online storage site and send a PM to me, you can find the results in the EADAIG directory on your desktop

I will then have a look and let you know if your suffering from packetloss which can also increase the Latency of your connection.

If you are suffering from packetloss, depending on where it is you might be instructed to contact your ISP.

Also run a speedtest from http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html
fill in the info and run the test the copy and paste the results in the thread.

If you have a static IP you can also use http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping.html and create a graph to which will constantly monitor your connection for high latency and packetloss at the same time without the need of your computer being on, then place them results also into this thread.

On both of these test you can use the BBCode or HTML formatted version of the results to paste in these forums.

If this helps please mark as solution and award XP to them that helped solve the issue.

Hey so I have been facing this problem which some days I'm getting 130ms in HK servers and 150ms on EU (Germany) servers and a few days after I get 300ms on HK and 200 on EU servers automatically this happens both on BF1 as well as BF4 I don't know if it's my ISP or EA servers I have Uploaded the Packet Loss Tester Script result please let me know

  • Hi @ovendawg ,

Please indicate if you will, what nearby large city you physically are based by?

Your reporting there is quite intriguing, as it looks like you are quickly connecting with British Telecom from your home address.

And from there it then goes further out, but then all to return back again to somewhere on British Telecom side.  Already with a considerable latency as result.

And then the packet hand-over from British Telecom to Plus.net appear to stall everything really...

Having a latency over 200 milliseconds end to end make the games unplayable honestly and also reason why you get kicked off, as you cause server lagging and bullet sponging.

Figuring out what causes that high latency to both HK and EU servers will be key to fix your issue here.

So first lets hear about your physical location and then we can see what servers makes most sense for you to target as priority.

    @CyberDyme

I've got the same problem with ping started approximately month ago - usual ping to EU servers (mostly russian and german) was 60ms and now it's about 130-150. UOTrace results are in attach. Google tracerts are ok, ping is around 20-30ms. I'm located in Ukraine, Dnipro.

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with BF4 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
