Re: Battlefield 4 PC how to play multiplayer

When you start the game from Origin or the icon it opens a tab in web browser, instead of starting in campaign mode, on the webpage click "play multiplayer" and browse the servers to find a session to join, on the left of every server there is an image, click it to join a server, game will launch automatically after connection

I think i probably should of mentioned that i bought my computer from some guy, and some games were there. So i dont have it on origin. Is there any way i can play multiplarer, or is this a lost cause?

  • OK, your game is likely pirated then, uninstall it and buy it from Origin so you get multiplayer

  • So you bought a used PC and Battlefield happened to be downloaded?  Well I'm sorry to say, but you are S.O.L on that front.  If you want, you can buy Battlefield 4 on your Origin account, and since the game is already installed, you will save yourself time from having to re-download it.  You can download BF4 (or any Origin game) on as many PCs as you like, but you can only play them if you (or someone else) logs in with an Origin account that has access to that game.  So, a friend could come over and use my PC and play BF4 as long as his Origin account he logs into has the game in his Library.  You cannot just play the game because it is installed on your PC.  If this were the case, EA would lose tons of money as people would just let friends log into their account, download the game on their PC and log out again.  This is an anti-piracy feature.

Tapau, I don't think a pirated version will work with Origin, he'd better completely uninstall the game and download again, pirated games and software are tweaked in a way they wouldn't work with a legal Origin account as very often they rip off a lot of functions to make sure anti-piracy software don't kick in, one of the measures is removing all functions allowing the connection to any  Official game server, they modify/crack the main exe and  dlls as well, I doubt he will save time by keeping it there, Origin might detect the illegal version and lock the account, he will have to completely remove the game to be sure he doesn't get into trouble, also cleaning windows register after uninstalling the illegal copy will help then buy and install the game from Origin

Yes, if it was an actual illegal copy, then you are correct, he should fully uninstall the game.  I had just thought by his vague description that he just happened to buy a used PC, and BF4 was still installed on the hard drive.  If this were true, then he would be able to leave it installed.

@TapouTony420  Yeahh but it's better to assume the copy is illegal and act like it was, it's safer to just remove and buy/install from Origin, just in case :-p
