It seems that Battlefield 6 might not have a campaign mode at launch. Don't know why though.
Indeed @Player55 ,
Nobody, not even the faintest leak or hearsay, have mentioned Campaign mode once!
So my personal expectations are that there will be no Campaign mode at all.
Battlefield games have never been known for Campaign mode gameplay anyway.
The BF2 modern combat campaign was quite a reveal, maybe also because it was the first of its kind.
BF3 campaign had some real cool segments, especially when on the aircraft carrier and taking off from it in the jet!
The earthquake scene, when you were in the tank was very good too.
South China Sea mission 2 in BF4 was pretty cool too, again on the carrier boat and it breaks apart...
But BF3 and BF4 were quite formal and serious.(boring after having done it a few times to collect all the stuff)
While in BC1 and BC2 we at least had some fun and humor along the way. :o)
BF1 did it rather different. With different roles/persons. But no real connecting storyline...
The AI components were also just rather dull, so not really engaging.
BF5 used same as BF1...
Players just dont buy the BF game for the single player Campaign mode.
And I will not miss it either, if none in the next release.
EA better spend the same resources instead then on aka a good working BattleRoyal mode!
Its the epic multiplayer game mode that makes EA BF special and why we buy it.
Just in my own honest opinion of course...
I find a good campaign entertaining... but I play Battlefield because of the multiplayer part.
If they skip the campaign and use the money and work to make multiplayer-part even better, that's a good deal 🙂
The campaigns are only a very small part and certainly not a purchase criterion for Battlefield players.
Singleplayer should just be bots/coop vs bots.

Imo nobody has ever purchased a Battlefield game for the campaign, It's always been about the multiplayer and everyone knows the next Battlefield game needs a heavy focus on that right now.
And as @CyberDyme mentioned, there hasn't been any info what so ever about any kind of campaign so It's highly likely there won't be one at this stage.
I'll be so glad when the middle of June comes around so we can actually clean some of these rumours up and add them to the official list. @CarbonCarl Agreed. Tbh I haven't finished any of BfVs war stories. I really liked Bf3s campaign. At the time Bf3 came out I wasn't into multiplayer so playing the campaign is what got me in the mood to try mp. So I wouldn't discount the importance of a campaign to get new players to the series into the mp side of the game.
Here the issue.
Using WW1 or WW2 people believe or know how it started and stories from it. So has a plot.
BF3/4 MP would have suffered from no plot which happens to also restricts content.
Why have a MP game with no plot then restrict maps to certain part of the world with select content? A plot.
I think BF6 will have a story and/or small campaign just to get people interested in it and set the content.
