Re: Bf 1942 expansions Origin

Currently, the Origin version of BF1942 does not support the expansions. It does support many of the community-made mods though.

Well thanks for your reply but my request never mentionned community mods.

And this is actually quite funny that you're promoting community mods instead of your expansions whereas the last one is the only one which could make you get some money.

I know Dice doesn't want to make hardcore FPS anymore, but it's not a reason to reject your old work such as BF1942 which was - in my opinion and with BF2, the best things you've ever made.

So have you planed to make your expansions working on the Origin version of BF1942 ?

We would like to make the expansions compatible with the Origin version of BF1942, but we have not scheduled when that is going to happen.

The Expansions also work fine.  We have a Server running with only BF1942 maps and we got a Server wit DC, DCfinal, etc......

The only thing you have to do ist install the Orginal BF1942 with all mods like Secret Weapon etc. Than take the hole Mods Folder an copy it to your installation of BF1942 Origin now you got the XPack1 and XPack2 in Mods Folder. So only thing you have to to ist join a Origin Server wit the installed Mod you want.  Our DC Server (FHJ DC++ ORIGIN Server) got the Adress 85.25.67.69:14570.

The normal BF Server with a littel modded Maps (RUSus BF 1942 Origin) is 85.25.67.69:14569

But we also have two orginal Servers running with same Config on Friedhofsjodla.de NO CD-Key needed 85.25.67.69:14567

and RUSus NO CD KEY 85.25.67.69:14568
    .

We also got an self programmed Updatetool for our own MOD FhJ it look about missing Maps PB and configs  in your Folder and than you can update it with it. For more Info look at www.friedhofsjodla.de

    Hope I can help

    Greetings

    Will they be available eventually?

  • Hello!

Thank you, your observations also helped me. I wonder if it is possible to copy the Bf 1942 Origin and apply the mods and patches chosen. I wanted to add other maps / levels and Bf 1918. If you can guide me. The purpose is to run on Win 8 (if possible). Thank you.
