Re: BF1 Hard crash after every round
I think I fixed it. I played at least 3 matches without crashing. If you have ASUS G751JY these steps might fix your problem.
What I did:
I updated the BIOS of my laptop to version 211 from here: https://www.asus.com/support/Download/3/719/0/3/LYuLg2456gbkV5dw/41/
That did not quite fix it so I ran Windows memory diagnostics(no problems there) and then did a Clean boot.
This instruction can be found here https://help.ea.com/au/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ and the steps are also in this message.
However, I did not disable all or go beyond step 4. I just disabled these services: ASLDR Service, AsusGameFirstService, ATKGFNEX Service, NVIDIA Wireless Controller Service, Razer Game Scanner, Skype Updater
How to do a clean boot:
If you're running Windows 10 follow these steps to clean boot:
- Beside your start button, you'll see a magnifying glass icon. Click on it to open search.
- Type msconfig in the search box, and press enter to bring up the System Configuration window.
- Click on the Services tab.
- On the window that opens, check the box to Hide all Microsoft Services, then click the Disable All button to the right.
- Click on the Start Up tab, then on Open Task Manager.
- Let the Task Manager list populate (this can take a few seconds), then right-click and choose Disable on each of the start up programs listed.
- Close the Task Manager window to return to the System Configuration window.
- Click OK to save your changes, then restart your computer.
Hope this helps!
