Re: bf4 directx error

I have a hunch the error is pointing us in the wrong direction.

Try disabling Origin in Game and any other overlay programs you may have running (RiviaTuner, overwolf, fraps, etc).

An overlay is something that draws ontop of your screen, usually to show FPS, temps, etc

Other programs associated with BF4 malfuctions are MSI afterburner, Ratpr's Play.tv, and Razer Cortex, if you have any of these running disable them and the others @WootCandy mentioned and see if you can play. In fact doing a cleanboot and then trying to play may be a good place to start @superdatan

NOTE>>> you need to select the x64 or the x86 file depending on what architecture your computer has. To find this out, Click Start, right click on "Computer" and select "Properties". Under system type is should say "32-Bit Operating System" or "64-bit Operating System". If 32-bit operating system, download the x86 file, and if 64-bit download the x64 file.
