1.These steps should help with most errors that can occur on launch.

-Look for the Battlefield 4 folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4
-In that directory, find the folder called _Installer.
-In _Installer, navigate to the VC folder, then vc2012Update3, then redist.
-In redist, find both the x86 and x64 versions of VCredist.exe.
-Run the two files, which will install both versions.
-Try again to launch your game.

Hi, I tried that and it didnt work, BF4 still isn't launching

Have you tried to repair game in Origin client? You might also try to flush your DNS. We have a step by step instruction on how to do it in this article here https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/connection-troubleshooting-advanced-pc/

I tired all of the solutions, nothing worked. I even repaired it again and it didn't work.

BF4 worked for me the first time i played it (for about 5mins) before randomly crashing and from then on i cant play it.

It closes origin when i click join server, and i can see it in task manager and on my task bar for about 2 seconds, then it disappears i cant tab into it either.

its a "Background Process" in task manager, using 1% of my CPU so i've no idea whats going on.

UPDATE: I just played a game there, i got into the game itself by spam clicking the icon that appear on my task bar (Usually stays there for about 2 seconds) but as soon as I tab out, i cant tab back in, and its almost as if the game was just closed, its not in task manager or anything

Hello @MdawgSheeman

So you do not have a game icon on your desktop? Maybe your anti-viral software interferes with the game? Have you tried to disable it temporary? Have you tried to perform a Clean boot? https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/kb/929135

Hello! I found a fix for my problem, I'll outline the solution below.

I clicked "Join Server" and waited for the icon to briefly appear on my task bar

I spam click where I know the icon will appear, and eventually open BF4

Change display settings from "Border less" to "Full screen" and now it works fine, appearing on my task bar and working when i ALT-Tab
