Re: BF4 Freezing Xbox 360

Could you guys please tell us your exact model of your Xbox360?

 

I will provide you several workarounds, please accept as a solution if one of following steps helped you to solve this issue. If not, please respond that we can look for other possible solutions.

To make sure that no corrupt data causing your issue, you should clear your cache:

  1. From the dashboard, click on My Xbox.
  2. Select System Settings.
  3. Select Storage.
  4. Highlight Hard Drive Device.
  5. Press Y to select Device Options, then Clear System Cache.
  6. Reboot your console.

Redownload the updates for the game. NOTE: Not all games have a Title Update File.

  1. From the Dashboard, click on My Xbox.
  2. Select System Settings.
  3. Select Storage.
  4. Select Hard Drive Device by pressing A.
  5. Select Games and Apps.
  6. Select Game Title.
  7. Delete Title Update File.
  8. Restart Game.
  9. Download the update when prompted.

    I also have this same exact problem and I have tried all of these steps to help fix it but they have not worked at all. I have an Xbox 360 S so is there any way you could help me out?

    Also be sure to install both DVDs to the 360's HDD and if at all possible play using a wired connection instead of using a wireless connection.

    cronikcraze, just to be sure, you have the 250 or 320 GB internal 360 Slim HDD correct? if not Bf4 requires this internal HDD to function properly.

    Hi All

    I did the below and it works fine now!

    Some Xbox 360 players have been successful in resolving these issues after going through the following steps:

    • From the Xbox Dashboard, head to Settings, then System, and select Storage 
    • From Storage, select your hard drive, then Games and Apps, and find your Battlefield 4 file folder 
    • In your Battlefield 4 folder, delete all game updates (except for the title update 6MB) .
      • Be careful not to delete any other game data, such as your expansion packs or profiles saves--unless they are corrupted, at which point you should then delete and redownload them.
    • Once you have deleted all your game updates, return to the Storage menu, highlight your hard drive and Y to bring up Device Options 
    • In your Device Options, select Clear System Cache to run maintenance on your console--this should last about 20 seconds at most. 
    • Once your system cache has been cleared, you should be able to play Battlefield 4 without error
    • When launching your game, you will be asked to again download the March 4th game update, titled  Update 8.

    I had this problem and the above fixed it!!!

    Yes i have this problem aswell freezing up after 2 or 3 rounds and only started happening after the update ,i have the 360 s 250Mb hdd , i tryed all the tips listed  now it's really f*#ked !!! freezes up before i cxan even start a single round ,so pissed i just upgraded to premium and now cant even use it !! Seems this is effecting alot of players sort it out EA .

    No Probs, i was frustrated but now this has made the game not only work but run better aswell !! keep clearing your system cache and removing old updates has helped greatly.

    **bleep** still does not work no matter what i do i  still cant play the one game that i want to play you guys need to freaking fix this **bleep** its really annoying. How can you freaking release your game with a bug this freaking huge. You guys better do something big to make up for all this bs you put ur fans and the people who wanted this game to be better the cod which at this point its not.

    i am not using xbox 360.  I am playing regular games.  I pay to play pogo and can't get badges because games do not work and you can't contact any one at pogo.  They take my money but do nothing to help with the problems on pogo anymore.

    Does the trick still work for after final stand because ive been freezing mid game and its annoying
