Re: BF4 install. Failed to create punkbuster service

I used to get the punkbuster errors that would kick me from the game.

I attempted all of the normal punkbuster fixes to do with windows firewall access and pbsetup but nothing worked.

So i tried reinstalling battlefield 4.

Now when i go to install it after downloading it will say " Failed to create punkbuster service" and then  tell me a file already exists.

I really want to play the game and this has been going on for 2 weeks now.

Please help me out im desperate.

Do you have a firewall or security software suite that could be blocking it?

Ive tried turning my firewall off completely and it doesnt work. i dont have any other anti viral software active either

You might want to give Advanced Solution 1+2+5 a go while looking at the rest as well 🙂

 well ive given everything a go.

The clean boot seemed to work at least for the first time

however now it has stopped working?

can you give me any extra help as this is really depressing

What is the results when you clicked the test services button?

Where about is that exactly?

also I've  just realized when i look at the services.msc that pnkbusterB is not there and pnkBuster A is disabled by default

It's mentioned in the "help us help you" section of the guide I gave you..

And you said that you had given everything a go but clearly you havn't as Simple Solution 4 mentions services.msc
