Re: BF4 Premium cross-platform?

I have the same issue.

Bought BF4 and Premium on PC first then recently bought the PS4 version.
It looks like while the accounts are linked you still have to purchase Premium for PS4 (unless you have a PS3 version you are upgrading from.....but I think...like me....you don't have the PS3 version)

I think it is very tight of EA to make us pay for Premium yet again. I don't think I will be.

If you hear differently please let me know.

    Hi,

cross platform transfers are not possible. While it looks you will be using the same account, pc players have premium attached

to their Origin account, console players have it attached to their console account. Those are all different databases.

With the digital downloads of games and with only the need of having a game key linked to your account,

I wonder why people buy games for different platform, without a single issue or complaint about it not being cross platform, but when it comes to premium it suddenly has to be cross platform.

......because it sucks having to buy Premium twice that's why. It's $75 in Australia via Playstation Store. That's another game.

Considering the amount of people that would buy BF4 on both pc and ps4 (I'm guessing not many) it wouldn't hurt EA to make it cross platform. Seriously.

Yes I understand what you mean about the fact that it's tied to Origin for PC and PSN for Playstation but it wouldn't be impossible for them to issue us with serials so we can get it on playstation as well.

I have it on PS4 but not on PC yet.  It seems like I'm getting stuff on PC still though.  I just recently got the shotguns free upgrade (supposedly only availble to Premium) on PS4 and when I logged into PC, I had it there also.

They use the same battlelog for website/app for both, they should make the membership work for both also.

I agree we should be able to transfer premium and stats cross platform. Or atleast offer a service in which they would transfer your stats and premium to any platform you want ie xbox 360 to ps4 etc. or like a Netflix account with multiple devices. For a reasonable price i would and I'm sure many more would use this service. They're a business selling product why would they cut themselves short?.

Companies just sell Addons separate to make money, its a shame they dont allow dlc to be downloadable accross platforms. I understand games arent transferrable. Somthing like battlefield premium should be though, i dont see why consumers should have to buy premium for each individual item. it wouldnt be that bad if the game actually worked properly, however considering the lag and continous bugs/glitches in battlefield 4, its hardly fair to charge for "so called premium" on each separate platform when the game itself still has lots of issues. It would be more sufficient to manage premium through origin and allow players to activate their device through a computer, that way premium can be transferred if a player decided to change to a different platform

becuase i bought a ps4 then made a bad **bleep** pc

  • That's pretty **bleep** to be honest! I paid full price for premium pre order for pc. Was never able to play it properly due to hardware constraints. Got a ps4 and paid for bf4 again - BOOM - no premium. What a load of garbage. I'm not buying another copy of bf premium anything again period.
  • It is called a premium (membership)! If I am a member at a balleys workout club I don't have to pay for another membership just because I go to another balleys outside of my home state! Because they are a franchise! And nomatter which club./platmorm/console/pc, it is still the same company receiving the funds. If you're not smart enough to see a problem with that then maybe you should keep your comments to a bare minimum

DLC is platform specific because if Microsoft took your Money why would Sony or Origin provide a free product since they do not share profits with one another and are completely separate companies?  I am a multiplatform premium member in BF3 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) and in BF4 (PC, Xbone, PS4, 360, and PS3) and this has always been the case.  Yes it iss expensive for those of us on all platforms but completely logical from a business and economics perspective.

The reason that Microsoft and Sony allowed Premium to move forward on their own platforms such as PS3-PS4 and Xbox 360-Xbox One (but not separate DLC) is because they already had your money so it was an incentive from them to encourage you to give them more of your money to purchase their new next gen console.

  • It's Probally beause premium works on PS3 to PS4, and Xbox 360 to Xbox One. So people get confused and think well it's a member ship maybe it'll work both ways, but really why would this person downgrae to PS4 instead of PCMR?

50$ Isnt that bad for 5 map packs, not to mention the camos, knives, and battlepacks. It also goes on sale for about 20$ quite often
