I know what you'r trying to say, and i agree.
But it's probably just a bad timing thing if you spawned in because it always takes a moment from "click spawn" and the point when you'r finally there.
If you would click 1sec. later(for example), so he would be already out of the Plane and you will be out of the Plane as well.
