Re: non-default Browser for Battlelog
I found this over on BL, follow the steps but pretend everything that says BF3 says BF4,
STEP-BY-STEP:
1. Download and install the browser of your choice for using as your default BATTLELOG browser.
(IMPORTANT! Make sure that you during and/or after the installation DON'T CHOOSE this new browser as your default browser!)
2. Go to the install folder of this browser and CREATE A SHORTCUT of the .EXE file inside the same folder. For example:
In the install folder of Internet Explorer ("C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer"), create a shortcut of the file
"iexplore.exe". You now have, inside this folder, a shortcut named "iexplore - Shortcut".
3. Rename "iexplore - Shortcut" to "BATTLEFIELD 3" (or whatever name you choose).
4. Right-click this recently renamed shortcut, and click "Properties" at the very bottom. Inside you click "Shortcut". At the bottom in the middle you click "Change icon...".
5. Click "Browse" in the upper-right corner and go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3".
6. Click/highlight the "bf3.exe"-file and choose Open. Then click "OK". This BATTLEFIELD 3 shortcut now has a nice BF 3 icon!
7. Drag this new shortcut to wherever you want the BF3 shortcut to be. I have mine in the START-MENU in Windows.
8. Start the browser by clicking the shourtcut. In the options menu, change your browsers default startpage to:
"http://battlelog.battlefield.com/gate [battlelog.battlefield.com]". Close the browser.
9. Log off from Origin and close it.
10. Click the BATTLEFIELD 3 shortcut and the login page for BATTLELOG should appear.
11. Type your login + password and HIGHLIGHT THE "REMEMBER ME" square under the password field and click SIGN IN. If your browser asks you if you want to store/remember your login + password, choose YES/ACCEPT.MERIT TO https://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654347867780388/
