Re: Pixelated and very low textures. UPDATED*

1. Sorry for that,

2. ...........

3. I have my crysis on DX11 high textures.

4. Its not about all we need is 5 to 10 min. The problem is not always there. Sometimes it happen to me. As I said "about 25% of my gaming time this week with BF3 it happen a glitchy/pixelated"

5. Its already OC not me. And it seems fine? XD you are funny. Its one of the best, and you say it seems XD come on man

----

1. Look really down!!

2. Why? I don't think the problem is there.

3. Yes when I start my game it was like that, ugly

BTW today in the morning I reinstall my windows 7 64bit. To just see if there was a problem in the system registry or anything might causing this FPS drop problem.

Thanks a lot for caring for my problem <3

the burn in test resolts was the same as the benchmark.

Benchmark:

SCORE:2473 points (41 FPS, 60000 ms)

Max GPU Temp: 74°C

Resolution: 1280x720 (FS) - AA:8 samples

FPS: min:42, max:43, avg:41 - OPTIONS: XB FX DynBkg

AMD SI TAHITI XT (1002-6798)

    1. np

    2. .......... (wat)

    3. I am assuming that your Crysis 2 is fine at Dx11?

    4. Please try with the GPU Settings I've listed in my post above. Even though the 7970 is top of the line you're using a 1920x1080p native GPU and compressing the GPU settings into a x900 screen. It MAY cause problems and without testing it we can't really know.

    Vertical sync: Off

Motion blur: disabled (move the bar all the way to the left)

    Graphics Quality: Custom

    Texture quality: Ultra

Shadow quality: High, Medium or low (Try with all 3)

    Effects Quality: Ultra

    Mesh Quality: Ultra

    Terrain Quality: Ultra

    Antialiasing Deferred: Off

    Antialiasing Post: Off

    Motion Blur: Off

    Anisotropic Filter: 1x or 4x

    Ambient Occlusion: HBAO

    5. A fabric OC'd GPU is fine yes 🙂

    6. The Benchmark looks fine though your GPU goes to 74 degrees.

    7. We don't know yet untill you've tried.

    8. Can you try to delete your "Battlefield 3" folder located here: C:\Users\"USERNAME"\Documents\Battlefield 3

    a. Obviously correct the "USERNAME" with your windows profile name.

In your benchmark your monitor is tested at 60MHz refresh rate, again please try either 1280x720@60MHz or current resolution with @60MHz refresh

And as for caring about your problem? Well the more players playing the game the more dog tags I have to hunt :3<3

  • I played Dirt showdown and I think it was on DX11 and I put it on MAX settings and I didnt have a problem at all.

    3.  yes really fine.

    4. ok I will do it, just for the sake and im sure it doesnt matter. and not near the proble, I will run it at HD and that setting you said.

    6. 74c is normal for burnin.

    8. dont worry I just install BF3 no need to delete the settings file.

    New  test at HD 60hz:

    SCORE:2472 points (41 FPS, 60000 ms)

Max GPU Temp: 67°C (BTW the last test had this temp. but I wrote it wrong. so 74 is wrong and under 70 is right.

    Resolution: 1280x720 (FS) - AA:8 samples

    FPS: min:42, max:43, avg:41 - OPTIONS: XB FX DynBkg

    others are still the same.

P.S when I put it at 60hz the text is not sharp anymore, and its hard to read. anyway.

PLEASE READ (THIS PROBLEMS DESNT ALWAYS SHOW UP SO IF I PUT IT ON OTHER SETTINGS OR CHANGE IT TO 60HZ IT MIGHT SHOW UP AND IT MIGHT NOT. I DONT ALWAYS SEE IT.) but the problem that I'm always facing is FPS, mine is really slow/low. about avg on ultra without blur = somewhere 50FPS NOW! but it should be 80FPS and more. all the other benchmarks on the internet they have Full HD and they get avg 60 FPS but with lower than FullHD the FPS should increase.

what I think its BF3 compatibility problem withthe new HD 7900 (bcoz I dont have any problem with other DX11 games. and a proof of that the pic I took where all in the server wer having FPS drop. and they have tested to join in more than one server. so I have dont too.  (look on the chat box in the game)

    avg= average

and today I have this DirectX error. why god whyyyy why meee ://///

  • The Enemies in the minimap are so small, they look like a little dots.

    BTW, it doesn't always happen.

what do you know, every day im having a problem with bf3 :mantongue:

  • Today it happened this Pixelated things but not all over the screen and I tried to study it. And you were wrong about it. It wasn't about the light or the static shading.

it was in one place and it didnt move, and it was Emulating/clogging/mimicking the backgrounds color. So when I stop moving I can beryl see it, and when I move it changes colors fast to the background. :catmad:

(for the pictures I posted about the Pixelated things, they were all over the screen but you and my could not see it. bcoz they change color.

And one more thing, they happened in more than in one map in bf3)

and today I made a benchmark in (Heaven DX11 Benchmark 3.0) and my result was fairly seemlier to others. (others had 60FPS avg and min had 59.1FPS  avg)

About the minimap, press N I believe it is, it zooms in and out on the minimap.

About the DirectX message. It is defo an issue with the GPU chip on your graphics card. I would honestly recommend either contacting the producer of the card (ASUS, whatever.) and ask to get it RMA (Returned).

In the long run it will not cost you anything but it will be a massive improvement. Battlefield 3 is a ton more resource hogging than both Crysis and Dirt and it is a completely different engine.

    I have the Asus 7970 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-HD7970-DirectCU-pixels-90-C1CRM1-U0UAY0BZ/dp/B0083T1FRM/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1344252935&sr=1-2)

And the game runs smooth. Alternatively you can try to downclock your GPU but that would loose you the warranty.

  • I guess you didn't understand what I meant. All the players including team mates are fine but the enemies are small they look like a dot.

I had that too but I returned it. There was a deficit in it.

Anyway I'm going to return my GPU (sapphire 7970) soon. And get GTX 680. I'm done with AMD. :D

I hope my problem doesn't continue.

    BTW @mylittlepony

what system do you have, CPU motherboard, headset, Ram and PSU.

    Yours,

  • Mate please open CCC, AMD Overdrive, and set the fans up to about 60% please.

I think you also said you are using IE. Please go Tools menu, Internet Options, Advanced, & turn on software rendering.

my GPU temp never goes over 60 in bf3. so its not heat problem its more than that .)

before what we meant with EI is about the glichy thing. dont worry about it. no I do to use IE. never ever. XD

  • Hej!

I  fixed the FPS and FPS drop, and both they will fix the other problems.

I installed Windows 8 and formatted my SSD low. Sure it took longer time but it helped.

But I don't know what fixed it the windows 8 or the low formation. Anyways I think windows 7 had/have an recent update that screw things up.

PS. I would like to know your system, if you dont mind.
