G'day,
The lag issue has now become so bad on the Oceania Servers that my friends list, which was, until this week, populated with several tens of people playing BF1 at most times, I'm now having trouble finding anyone to 'Squad Up' with.
Today I asked around and was mostly advised that people have pretty much abandoned the game due to the excessive lag. The strange thing I've noticed is that it seems to affect one 'side' of the game more than the other. Some Aussie players have reported they now play on USA servers as they are experiencing less lag on those servers despite the fact they only have a one or two bar connection. This inherently seems illogical to me.
It's pretty disheartening when I fire 5 rounds from my shotgun, at close range, into an opponent who then casually kills me. My shots aren't registering.
This issue appears to have worsened in the last 48 hours. Its now at the point that Conquest, in particular, is unplayable.
The POV in aircraft keeps 'zooming' in and out which has caused many collisions. I suppose this is the aerial eqivalent of 'Rubber Banding.'
Our charachters too are taking Three Steps Forward and then one back.
Please address this issue as it is causing many long time Battlefielders to abandon the game.
To be honest, there was less lag in the Betas and Early play.
I'm not whingeing, I just want a resolution for quite a few of your loyal supporters.
