Re: The next BF game could use better visibility.

@DingoKillr not entirely; I was an avid HC Dom player in previous titles, which made you rely more on sight & hearing than shooting doritos. And in BFV I've had more instances where players just look like rocks/shrubs, nothing made them stand out against the background. (flecktarn doing a proper job 😛)

But like you said, we gotta see them in the first place.

I play mostly BF4 at the moment, and visibility is often not much better than BFV, but the "over the top" spotting makes a difference. BF1 is better than BFV, but smoke-effects etc makes the visibility bad as well.

But it still has to be addressed. I like the removal of doritos, but this means visibility (and sound) should be better than it is now in BFV.

It honestly feels like other players are literally invisible at times and that's after 2 or 3 changes to address the issue - I hope thr BF6 team has developed a new trick or two to help out.

Camoflague is supposed to make you hard to see, I totally get it, but it's still a game and games need to be fun

  • If the new Battlefield is set ten years after BF4 as it has been suggested , I think everyone will be threatened by potentially perpetual Spotting arriving in one form or another.

For instance , one single Drone with IR/Thermal eyes will be able to light up everyone and everything on the field , unless . . .

For Sale in Customization (or as later reward) :

Ordinary Camo , to hide from ordinary eyes  A N D Special Camo , for hiding from special eyes (4's LA Camo)

Choice provided of being a big signature or a tiny one (firing a 'hot' weapon makes you temporarily big again , re: 4)

This second Camo will be needed , if one needs to go Drone-hunting specifically , or generally Play with regular success.

Doubled-Camo usage like this will not exclude the use of plain old eyeballs to search out Rocks , Bushes and Cover Spots for hiders .

While hunting or other countermeasure-type odd jobs like this might be considered to be 'specialized' roles in this predicted future , I think too that Lone-Wolfing , Run-n-Gunning , Zerging , Static Positioning - all of it really - is about to evolve as well with the new Tech coming in the new Game .

While an excess of Intel like this may sound Heavenly , it's actually Hellish if it includes in it as well those Receivers who are planning to act upon it .

    Hence this predicted 'evolution' .

Me , I already Play BFV and the other BF Games as if every nearby Rock , Bush or Cover Spot hides a potential shooter .

    I already Play the don't-get-Spotted-til-I-get-where-I-need-to-go Game .

So it's from this bush where I see a thread in that future one day titled : We could use better INvisibility .

    👿

    Bottom line :

'They' must cautiously walk an extremely fine line if they are to get this next Game 'right'.

'We' must cautiously approach our 'suggestions' so as not to tip or sway them . . this time .

@tempo_rarityBF3/4 were pretty much years into the future as well. But one felt spotted a lot less often.
BF5 had the quirk of either having too little spotting when nobody bothers to spot or way too much Area of effect 3D+2D gadget spotting that lights up even people out of the line of sight.

So I think that the older games did better with their manual 3D spotting and their more automated 2D gadget spotting that was in intervals/pulses instead of constant spotting.

@tempo_rarity Not sure on purchase customization on uniforms but sounds reasonable.
Camo = difficult to see visually easy spot in thermal.
No camo = difficult to see in thermal easy visually.
Civilian = flashy or cool. No benefit.
