Hi guys,

You have previously downloaded a 3.9 GB update, not the expansion pack. What you're downloading now is the DLC itself.

If thats the case why is there no patch notes? and it seem odd that both update and expansion just happen to be the same size.

If what I was downloading before was not the DLC,  then how was I able to log into a DLC game.   

Face it,  EA's deployment definitely needs some work.   And making poor excuses isn't going to solve it.

Same thing happened for me with End Game. The difference was that I updated BOTH the BF3 Limited Edition update AND the End Game update. After both were installed (after almost 30 hours since my internet is horrible) I launched the game only to find out I had to update BF3 AGAIN with a 5.5 GB update. Looks like I wont be playing for a while.
