We ran into a problem when trying to log you in to our systems

The connection timed out while trying to log you in to our systems. This usually means we're experiencing some issues, so first check EA Help for any ongoing issues or outages that may be causing the problem.

If you continue having this problem outside of outages, try re-logging into the Origin client and Batttlelog or restarting your routerbefore joining another server or some of the common connection troubleshooting steps below to get back in the game.

Game client seen as threat by antivirus

If you're having trouble installing Battlefield Hardline to your PC, it could be due to your antivirus seeing the game's executable as a threat.

Download the Game Ready driver to improve your Battlefield Hardline experience

If you have continue to have problems when installing Battlefield Hardline, for example, your installation resets to the Ready to Install state after a moment or two of trying to install, this could be due to your antivirus thinking the Battlefield Hardline executable, or .exe, is a threat.

You can check if your antivirus is blocking you from playing Battlefield Hardline by temporarily disabling your antivirus, or by adding Origin and Battlefield Hardline as exceptions to your antivirus checks.

Matchmaking Failed error when joining Battlefield Hardline servers

If you try to join a match in the Battlefield Hardline beta and receive the error, “Matchmaking Failed -- Could not find a server to join,” this is likely due to our servers reaching their maximum capacity.

We’re actively working to make more room and keep up with demand. However, if we haven’t caught up with you yet and you’re receiving this error, try joining a match again after some time has passed.

Reinstalling PunkBuster to the correct location

If you're reinstalling PunkBuster, the installer might be pointing at your Battlefield Hardline Beta game folder rather than the location for the full game's release.

    Reinstalling PunkBuster

Uninstalling and reinstalling PunkBuster manually could help solve some problems if you're running into PunkBuster issues while playing Battlefield Hardline.

When using the Add a Game button to register Battlefield Hardline to your version of PunkBuster after reinstalling, you might notice the default Game Path location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\BFH Beta, or the game folder for the Battlefield Hardline Beta.

To make sure your PunkBuster and Battlefield Hardline clients cooperate remove 'Beta' from the filepath so that it instead reads C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\BFH

    • Keep in mind that this is the default Battlefield Hardline installation location. If you've set your games to install to a hard drive other than C:\ then you'll need to adjust the filepath according to your system
