Removing/changing Objects (Battlefield 4)

Good morning everyone 🙂 Is there a way to change or remove some objects in game such as flags' images etc. for multiplayer? Someone told me it is aganist the terms of service (and I thank him one more time :D) but I am curious since this change will only be seen on my screen and not others and thus, it won't affect the gameplay of others.

Have a nice day!

  • Hi @Pierece-2 ,

There is no way for us the end-users/consumers of this game product to directly edit the maps or the contents of those maps.

But we have various options to change what is visible to us when we play the game, via an extensive set of user options in your setup screens of this game.  Especially the area related to the HUD (Heads Up Display) do have many of such settings options available.

Now again, not sure on your specific purpose, as you write its only for you alone?

Because there are also more options for ways for you to use the game environment also to make stenographic video clips.  And here again your game contents options will play a big part what you then see there or not.

And you have an option when joining a server to actually join it in "spectator mode".

And this I think is giving you then exactly what you are looking for, as here you have additional options to fully disable a lot of the 'gameplay aids' that the active gamers wants and/pr rely on when playing the game.  But in the spectator mode you can fully flip a switch to turn such on-screen aids fully off.  And from spectator mode you can directly take screenshots but also make full videos.  And you also have an option to use a fully controlled videocam at any point of location and movement as you may desire.

Some of the best BF4 live battle footage that have been shown on YouTube have often been made by using this spectator mode.

    Have fun with it!

  • @CyberDyme Hello again, I want to thank you for your kindness 🙂. I realized that I couldn't express my intention clearly. I may give an example regarding my question, for instance, flags' textures. For instance in BF4 multiplayer, there are only 3 flags which are "Russian", "American" and "Chinese". Are people allowed to change these flags with another flag that is not found in game such as German flag, just by changing the image of the flag in the game folders? If yes, how may they do that? Again, when I said this change will only be seen on my screen, I meant I will only realize this change such whereas other players will still continue to see russian or american or chinese flag. Basically, it may be said that this will be a modding only for my computer.

Edit: After contacting with EA, they said I am allowed to do that provided that it doesnt breach terms of services in terms of insulting language on the new texture etc. But I do not know how to do that as I dont know the location of the textures of the flags in the game fields. I hope, this time i clearly expressed myself if I may say 🙂

I thank you for your kindness again and I apologize if I disturbed you and took your time.

    Have a nice day!
