[RESOLVED] Game crashes after 11/15/16 patch. (Conflict with MSI Afterburner)
I just received the 11/15/16 patch. Upon starting the game after patching, it proceeded to start normally.
Immediately after "Personalizing the experience for you" when the screen fades to black, it crashes with a generic Windows pop-up "Battlefield 1 has stopped working".
I've tried repairing the game in Origin with no change.
System specs:
Windows 10
i5-3570k
16GB RAM
RX 480 (16.11.3 drivers)
840 Pro
Hardware is all stock and tested rock solid stable with programs such as Memtest86+, Intel Burn Test, and FurMark. The game was completely stable before the patch with no crashing, freezing, etc.
I will continue trying to find a solution and update here should I discover anything.
RESOLVED: This was a conflict with MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner. Turning those applications off allows the game to function normally. Changing settings to DX11 allows the game to work with Afterburner.
