Spotting a Mav and Assisting in Combat

Question

I am on the Ps3 trying to Obtain there's no "I" in team , I have only gotten a few spotting assists by accident and Don't know why I can't set them up in combat correctly . I have pressed the rb2 and no scan or anything of the sort comes up nor does rb1 do anything . I have played over 4 hours now and researched many forums , what should I be doing ?

if your tryin to get spotting assists with the MAV, you just fly around and spam the "spot" button. On my ps4, i think its the R1. on the PS3, i think its the R2 maybe. Whatever button you use to spot. I usually do it on conquest on a large open map. Or rush is good too. You get them REALLY fast!
