Squad revive and the "hardline resupply". Do you want them moving forward?

Out of the metric ton of complaints I might have about BFV, I personally consider these two features something that may be worth keeping in BF games.

Squad revive helped to have more revives than in any other BF game before. It feels great to be able to be there for your buddies even if you are not a medic.

For those who do know know "hardline resupply" is that feature that was mostly imported to BFV on a patch that allows you to click on medics and get healed / click on supports and get resupplied even if they are not being that cooperative (though it is rare on medics because it needs the box that few people use over the throwable bandages)

I think I would like these two features to stay in the next game.

How do you feel about them? Have I missed any hidden implications?

I don't think the squad revive takes much away from the medics really. The squad revive is so situational due to the time it takes that they are quite rare.

As for there not being enough medics on BF1 that will never make sense for as long as I live. Non-stop heals with extremely strong and versatile weapons and it's not unusual for me to be one of the one or two medics on the team. Lots of players on their bellies doing nothing though (thanks bfv).

Self heals will always draw players to the class.

Give each soldier the ability to be revived just once inbetween respawns and you'd have a pretty balanced game imo

Gotta say I like the ammo/health resupply by taking it from Supports/Medics, though I still have my doubts about the Squadrevs. On one hand it's a handy feature to help your squad out as a non-medic player, on the other I wonder if it takes too much away from the Medic role, resulting in less medics on the Battlefield. 🤔

I think that the issue with the medic is BFV is that they play second fiddle to the assault supersoldiers.

In BF3, 4 and 1, as a medic you had access to a lot of great weapons with high versatility.

I don't mind squad revive but wasnt the original idea that it wouldn't heal players to full health (or am getting old!). Passive healing and ammo restock I'm not so keen on.  As for squads I'd prefer a return to squad leader only spawns.

I've always thought a happy medium would be to let squad leaders decide if they want SL spawning for their squad or not. Easier to rout out the players who just use the squad system as a free spawn point if you want your squad of randos to work with you.

  • I also hope they keep both. Being able to grab ammo from a support is the best thing since sliced bread. Getting revived more because more people can do it, yes please. In context - I spray and pray so I run out of bullets alot and I'm not that good, so I die alot - hence my approval of both of these things.

How you run out of bullets with me in the squad is beyond me!
