The game crashes while loading immediately after start-up

So I bought the ultimate edition for PC and downloaded it but haven't been able to play it AT ALL.

First of all it launches in window mode which is weird but I was able to fix that by hitting ALT + Enter.

More importantly though, as soon at the game has launched it crashes on the loading screen every single time I try to play. Like it actually starts up and it's on the loading screen then it crashes after a few seconds before I get into the menus.

The PC is brand new and top of the line and all the drivers are up to date. For reference I can run Mass Effect Andromeda on maxed out settings no problem.

I already tried re-installing Origin. It made no difference.

    In case anyone has the same issue: Running CAM in the background was causing the game to crash. The game runs fine when I close it.

    Closed virtually all my background programs and it seems to be running now. Must have been some kind of conflict. Not sure which program it was but I might report back in case someone has a similar issue.
