I don't believe that's a official EA page, before they shut servers down of any kind they make an official release on their Facebook page, website etc, they don't just shut them down with no warning

The screen shot he posted shows them telling him they are gone for good, which we know is not the case nobody shuts down servers with no warning especially EA and that response is weird "put the game in sunset leaves" wtf does that even mean

Unfortunately you have been misinformed, BF1 has not been 'shut down' or 'sunset leaves'.
There are currently players online on all supported platforms.
We will always notify players if an online service is to be discontinued, the following is part of the terms and conditions for BF1:
EA MAY RETIRE ONLINE FEATURES AFTER 30 DAYS NOTICE AT www.ea.com/1/service-updates.
