The screen shot he posted shows them telling him they are gone for good, which we know is not the case nobody shuts down servers with no warning especially EA and that response is weird "put the game in sunset leaves" wtf does that even mean

Unfortunately you have been misinformed, BF1 has not been 'shut down' or 'sunset leaves'.
There are currently players online on all supported platforms.
We will always notify players if an online service is to be discontinued, the following is part of the terms and conditions for BF1:
EA MAY RETIRE ONLINE FEATURES AFTER 30 DAYS NOTICE AT www.ea.com/1/service-updates.

If you need to borrow my duster, just give me a call. We can clean those dusty suckers off in a jiffy. Sometimes you gotta beat'em with the back of your hand. That'll usually do the trick. Darn it you old dusty servers! Darn it to he**!

No. The online service is not being shut down.
If/when we shut down online service for any game, we notify players at the above link.
