Unable to Launch

Just today, March 9, I traveled to my local walmart and purchased a copy of battlefield 3 premium edition for 59.99 USD.  When I cam home I figured eh ill put the disc in and play for a little while.  Little did I know that 6 hours later I still haven't been able to even launch the game let alone play it.  I entered the code provided within the game case and installed the game, the dlcs, and the update.  When I attempted to launch the game using origin it came up with an error saying "We could not activate Battlefield 3 Limited Edition on this computer using the Origin Account provided.  PLease locate your product key to activate the game using your Origin Account." There was a button to "Enter Product Key"  it also said that I was not logged in as anybody.  I then proceeded to click on button and the dialog box continued to load for approximately 2-3 minutes. After it loaded it came up saying "We're sorry, an error has occurred  We've noticed that your computer is currently offline.  To activate your game on this computer using your Origin Account, you'll need to connect to the internet."  Afterwards it had two buttons giving the option of Retry or Exit.  I clicked on retry and the same thing happened.  I checked my connection status and it was saying that I had excellent connection and had internet access.  To test this I went to my internet browser and logged into origin perfectly fine.  Any Ideas or help suggestions?  Otherwise I'm going to go back to walmart and most likely knock some heads together.
