Unable to play multilayer

Hi, i only got bf1 the other day (bit late getting it now but im interested in the era its set in), and im unable to play multilayer, i can only play the campaign. I have xbox live gold and i am connected to Internet, what do i do?

(i play on xbox so this may be some contributing factor)

It says "ACCESS DENIED

Sorry, you are not eligible to participate in this activity" and then the useless link

In all seriousness a child account, as @gksvr1 said, is the most likely reason for the problem.

Yeah i say thats the reason why it wont work.
