Are you sure you've not confused the layouts? Are you using a controller or flight stick?
Pushing up on mouse should move the nose of a plane down in normal, inverted moves it up.- Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah, I'm absolutely sure. It's not the air vehicles that are the problem. It's the land vehicle aiming.
While my infantry vertical look is normal, the tanks is inverted. If I change it to inverted, then the tank is normal. It's just opposite of whatever is set in my options.

I got the same problem. Help please

It seems there are several people having the same issue but no-one has come up with a solution. Come on EA, sort this issue out as it makes things really difficult and annoying! There should be a way to set them both as you wish, inverted or normal.

WHEN is this going to be fixed and how is it possible this is actually a bug?
I mean what kind of company makes you running around on foot "normal" then when you hope in a truck, everything is "inverted"? That is the stupidest thing I ever seen.
Then there is no option to change it individually for both? That is ABSURD.So many people are having problems. When is this crap going to be fixed? What is there refund policy, who the heck can play "inverted" that plays regular? These EA guys must be superhuman to adapt so fast, several times per minute. Amazing.

They are too busy collecting money to actually listen and address some of these problems. There's no way it's a bug...it's a flat out oversight. hello EA?!?! Anyone awake?

I have the same problem. I've been looking for a solution for quite some time now.
We need to have a vertical look setting for vehicles separate from infantry. Right now they are shared.
Hey folks, I figured out a solution (at least on my machine).
EA was unhelpful (caches, internet explorer settings, repairing BF4, and two complete re-installs).
1. open hidden folders in windows explorer and find the directory that contains your BF4 profiles.
c:\users\(user)\documents\bf4\settings.
2. while in the game, change the vertical look to inverted. the flight should already be inverted as that hasn't caused any problems for folks like us.
3. select ALL the files in your profies folder and delete them.
4. tab back over to the game and try to move around--reset that control setting if needed.
You'll see the profile files imediately re-populate, and (at least for me) everything fixed).
I did this accidentally, meaning to delete them AFTER logging out of the game, but it worked fine within.
If I changed my vertical look again, the error re-appeared.
So, I tested this procedure a second time, and it was successful again.
give it a try and report back here. I'm curious.
For the record, this came about after I re-formatted my rig and put a fresh install of win10 on. My original bf4 installation didn't do this to me.

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.
If you have any issues with Battlefield, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
