Solved

Very low FPS with any video configuration.

My Spec:
Asus N56V
Nvidia GT 650m
Intel Core i7-3630QM
Ram 8GB
Windows 8.1

I've downloaded the game for free using the gametime promotion on Origin, but i can't play it decently for frame rate issues. I can't go over 25-30 FPS in any configuration: Ultra or Low, Full HD or 1024*768, render scale 100% or 25%.
I'm sure the game is using the nvidia GPU and non the intel, and i've alredy used the nvidia Geforce Experience for optimize the game, without success.
I'm also sure the game can run well on my PC, because i've found a couple of tests on Youtube of people playing BF4 on a PC similar to mine, and they get 40-50 FPS at medium in Full HD. There is any solution?

  • Your system can definitely run BF4, just double check that your High Performance GPU is the one chosen for BF4 one more time just to be sure.

Here are some fixes for FPS drops that have worked for many other users:

    1.  Disable origin in game as it's causes lag and FPS problems. To turn off Origin in game log into Origin, in the upper left hand corner click on the word "Origin" in the menu, and then click on "Application Settings".  Next go to the "Origin in game" tab and uncheck the "enable Origin in game" box.

    2.  If you have the Raptr game tracking program running kill the process before playing BF4, this solved my random FPS drops even on Dragon's Teeth maps.

    3.  If you are using MSI afterburning turn it off as some users report that it isn't playing well with BF4.

    4.  For Win8 users try running BF4 in Win7 compatibility mode.  Right click on bf4.exe, select "Properties", then "Compatibility" and then choose run as Win7.

    5. Better Battlelog also causes performance issues so try disabling it and see if that helps if you are running it
