I got the same issue since this update. I got freeze an half second every 3 - 4 seconds...
I noticed that my resoltion is now 5120x2880 and I can't change it
Not sure what is wrong !!! I have a GTX 1080 TI with i7 7700k processor.. I should not be having this issues... not sure where can I find help about this???! is someone from DICE looking at this thread??? where should I go to have tech help ??

Having similar issues. GTX 1080 Ti, i7-6850K, 128GB RAM, (x2) NVMe (OS and Games). Considerable performance issues in running new DLC maps. Even when dropping in-game settings well below normal and also reducing the resolution scale below 100. Still choppy and sporadic drop in frames.

A quick update - I modified the BF1.exe process in Task Manager to use a specific CPU affinity. I checked only to use Cores 0-7 (Hyper-threading, so technically Cores 1,2,3 and 4) and this seems to have a positive effect on gameplay.
Will continue to troubleshoot.
