Why does team balance suck so bad?
It seems to be worse on the weekends but I notice the balancing of teams socks something fierce. Like they hired a programming major drop out to write the algorithm...

On a technical side of things, there's no auto-balancer or team scrambler yet it would seem. Generally the game will attempt to balance people only between matches once the round is over, so if the game is 8 / 22 then unless people actively teamswap it'll remain unbalanced, the game attempts to balance new players onto the losing side but generally the players will just quit once they see the imbalance, furthermore it won't separate people from squads and rather just try to balance them completely which may not work out all the time.
On the flipside, it's worth noting players joining the game won't show up in the scoreboard it seems, so if the game looks uneven at the beginning players are likely just connecting.
Hopefully DICE look into changing this eventually since it can get pretty bad especially in gamemodes like Operations.
