Would anyone like a battlefield game based on the Cold War?

Imagine a battlefield game where the Cold War goes hot? The beginning of the campaign could essentially be the confrontation at Checkpoint Charlie getting out of control as a soldier panics and fires their weapon, thereby starting a war between the US and USSR. It's not a very widely explored concept in gaming if at all, which can allow for a lot of different maps and scenarios which haven't been done in other battlefields. learning spanish online

I believe this could give the battlefield franchise a much needed recovery from BFV if Dice still has it in them

  • Hey @JerryTubs

That's not a bad idea but that's not a real war too. So i think it's little difficult to make a Battlefield on cold war. Infiltration game look more appropriate for this i think.

  • "After the end of World War II, the world was split into two -- East and West." ah good ol MGS3... Anyway, while I like the concept, I think the next title definitely needs to be modern to get away from all the negative press V is getting. BFBC3 would be totally awesome in my opinion

  • It’s kinda hard to make a game on a 46-year long series of proxy wars, maybe focus on one of them? E.g. a remake of Battlefield Vietnam/Bad Company 2: Vietnam? A Korean War game? There’s a lot that happened in the Cold War

  • I downloaded the game via PlayBF2 expecting something more similar to RS2 or a 'Squad-Lite', and as expected downloading and installing the game isn't hard to do. I found a server playing karkand, and I decided to give it a go. After a full match I can very well say that Battlefield 2 is pretty much the same fast paced action you're used to in BF3 and 4, but there's slightly more 'Hardcore' features added to it - Which doesn't stop it from being spammy but it just makes gameplay depth more interesting.
