Regular internet usage causes your computer to automatically cache IP addresses and other domain name system results. Clearing (or "flushing") this cache will refresh the data, getting rid of outdated data that may be causing connection issues.

Note: These steps should be completed using an admin account. You will be typing prompts into the CMD console, so it is very important that you enter the commands exactly as shown.
Also, the following steps are specifically for PC players.

Windows 8
Navigate to the desktop.
Hold down the Windows key and press R. (This will open the Run dialogue.)
Type cmd and press Enter. (This will open a command prompt.)
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Reboot the computer.

Windows 7
Hold down the Windows key and press R. (This will open the Run dialogue.)
Type cmd and press Enter. (This will open a command prompt.)
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.

Setting an alternate DNS:
While a DNS refresh might solve your connection problems, the DNS itself could potentially not be working as intended, and connection issues will continue no matter how many times you flush your DNS cache.

You can check if you DNS is failing by trying to switch to a public DNS like Google DNS by following the steps on how to use Google Public DNS straight from developers.google.com.

Google DNS might actually be slower than your normal DNS, but is useful to test and see if your connection problems are coming from your local DNS.

Okay, i did the CMD DNS thing, didnt help. I am still getting the error. Any more solutions ?

Looks like i cant do the campaign aswell to get rewards for multiplayer, it says lost connection to EA servers when i try to connect to battle log there.....

@IdestE Sorry was outside doing yard work. Ok no fun for sure :/ Lets try this then off chance this will help but it could be a origin issue doing this...

Re- install origin only not your game just origin.

1. Uninstall Origin completely from Windows Control Panel.
2. Reboot your PC. This is important to clear out any lingering registry files or directories.
3. Download the latest here: http://origin.com/download
4. Install Origin You should not be prompted to update.

Check your firewall to be sure it is open to the game and not blocking it.

Would add a slightly different but similar experience: " ACCEPT -> Losr Connection > click and says cannot retrieve battle pack....Yet PS3 is working and internet is working?? Happens a lot?

bf4 is pretty much down right now and they are working to fix it is what mod said on the battlelog forums.

Sorry, it was late at night so i went to sleep. After coming back from school i still had the problem so ill try to reinstall origin. Also i can safely say that the problem wasnt because of the servers, because i got the game 3 days ago now.

EDIT: 

Uninstalled Origin, rebooted my PC, installed it again. Made sure origin and battlefield 4 was not blocked and was allowed in firewall. Nothing, the damn error is still there....

Okay if port forwarding, making sure nothing is blocking and running everything as admin doesnt work, then im starting to get mad, as this error is 4 years old and has yet to be fixed....

Guess im all out of luck. All the required ports are forwarded. Tried everything that was suggested and EA live chat didnt help me. Guess the only thing i can do is wait.
