I've had the same "Lost connection to EA servers" for about the past week with BF1. I spoke with an EA Advisor earlier today about this issue and we were able to fix it by allowing the BF1 and Origin apps through Controlled folder access in the Windows Security Ransomware protection. If you go to Windows Security > Ransomware Protection > allow an app through Controlled folder access, and then add origin.exe, bf1.exe, and bf1Trial.exe, it might fix it for you. You might have to restart your PC for the changes to sync as well.
origin.exe is in Program Files (x86)/Origin and the games are in Program Files (x86)/Origin Games. Hope this helps!
