You were dissconnected from EA Online

Hi There,

I had the same "disconnected from EA online" problem for one and a half month, tried everything, had hours of chatting with the support, and finally your suggestion helped me too!!!

It still does not solve my problem even I edited/removed this 'hosts' file. FYI, I did disable Firewall and Anti-Virus, updating PB, disabled UPnP, portforwarding the BF3 ports and etc. All I haven't done is re-installing the game (not repair the game, because I did that few times). I tried everything; from the Battlelog forums posts and this community. Please, if you have any solution, do share with me.

Nevermind, I've solved my problem already with the help of EA advisor. Think this might be an alternative solution for this problem, I post it below:

We have few alternates with us for your issue, please try to follow them for your issue: 

1. Right-click on "cmd" or "cmd.exe" under "Programs", then select "Run as Administrator".
2. Type “ipconfig / flushdns” and press Enter.
3. Type “ipconfig / registerdns” and press Enter.
4. Type “ipconfig / release” and press Enter.
5. Type “ipconfig / renew” and press Enter.
6. Type “netsh winsoc reset” and press Enter.
7. Restart the computer.

delete the whole host file or the inside of the file??..and how to make a copy ?? please reply as soon as possible  ☹️

you can try deleting hosts file that is located in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc

Backup this file before you delete it, in case something goes wrong tho...

I'm having this disconnect error constantly on every server I join. It only pops up once the game initiates and hits the loading screen. I've tried all of the above "solutions" but none work for me. I need help because I'm currently running tournaments on this game and cannot afford to miss days with this error.
