Hi all, so I completed the last Proficiency assignment for the M28 con Tromboncino medic carbine about a year ago, shortly after the gun came out. At the time, the Mint Stock reward wasn't being issued, and there are numerous forum posts attesting to that (https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/comments/c35r9w/m28_tromboncino_proficiency/ https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/188402/no-mint-stock-for-tromboncino-m28 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/m28-con-tromboncino-missing-the-mint-stock/td-p/7901602 etc.). A subsequent patch added the Mint Stock to the game - however, I was not retroactively given the reward.

This was one of those issues that I thought Dice would fix in a subsequent patch, but they never did. I've attached images showing that I completed the assignment (it's no longer in my list of assignments) and that I'm missing the Mint Stock.

I've contacted EA Help twice about this, but both times after an extended wait, and the advisor seeking background help, they said they could not help me. I've saved the most recent transcript, with the advisor concluding that "I understand the concern and tried to find it but can not find it and checked with specialized team as well but they also told me that they we can only grant the weapon not the stock from our end." When I asked if maybe they could grant me the assignment so I could complete it again, they also said that would be impossible.

As it is, there is no way for me unlock the final proficiency award for this weapon despite having completed it over a year ago.

  • Sorry but you'll need to go back to EA Help for assistance with this. Just don't accept their excuses and if necessary ask for the case to be escalated to a higher tier of support.

    Their customer services agents are unfortunately notorious for refusing to help people or misdirecting them to various player-only forums (obviously we can't help as we can't access your account, they can though) so they can mark the case as resolved. 

  • I just reached out to EA Help again. They again said they couldn't help with this, and to update here. I asked for an explanation, and they said:

    "We are checking if we can grant these, as there are some thing we can grant this is however a part of a weapon... Sorry for that, but it seems like we won't be able to grant these I just got an info from the specialist. We will have to raise that with the studio... We can't grant specific items for the weapon itself. Like the studio didn't think it will be problematic and its not implemented. Same with the specialist... Unfortunately we cannot reset the assignment as well ☹️ If you could please report it back on forums I will be obliged."

    There are a lot of posts out there from people with the same issue who never got the M28 mint stock (people report originally getting a duplicate Mint Iron Sight instead), and I'm wondering if anyone ever had any luck getting it resolved by EA Help or if it's just something Dice needs to be made aware of to fix. If EA Help can in fact give the reward, is there something I can respond to the above with that would get the issue escalated? All three times I've asked for help the representative has referred to a "specialist" for consultation on the issue.
