@troyafeeneyI don't think you read the post and merely went off the title. I never said they were too powerful specifically against pilots, I believe that was your assumption based on the title of the post only.
Do you think the MAA should be powerful enough to take on other tanks such as the Churchill and win with only 2 Wirbelwinds? Do you think that an entire team of 32 should be pushed back both in the sky AND on the ground by 4x Wirbelwinds working in tandem?
Yes 1 tank alone is relatively weak if going up against another tank with no support, even weak against bombers and some fighters (depending on loadout), however I tried the Wirbelwind on Devastation and managed to take down a Valentine without too much hassle just by poking my head above the Hill outside C and laserbeaming it nonstop while it could barely hit me.
This is beyond pilots as decent pilots can avoid them from destroying them, being pushed back by a wall of flak can certainly happen especially if you get spawn trapped. What I'm explaining here is a similar situation we had back in April when they made these Anti-everything with a massive buff and while I admit they're not to that extent, if you get 2 or more working in tandem the DPS can be overbearing for even the heaviest tank and that shouldn't be a thing.
What you need to understand from my post is that Infantry and tanks are now suffering to these tanks too and while MAAs armor is weak, the DPS they put out when working together is enormous.
I've actually switched teams a few times in the past few days specifically to help the other team out when my side was spamming AA tanks and zerging the enemy team back into spawn on maps like Twisted Steel and Panzerstorm. I have seen it from both sides and matches are slowly becoming extremely tilted in favor of whoever spams AA tanks now.
Make them damage planes I have no issue as they're suppose to be Anti-Air but when I watch AAs going head to head with heavy tanks and winning, even you have to admit there's something wrong with that
