Audio cut out bug

Product: Battlefield V
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
AMD or Nvidia Model Number AMD R9 390
Enter RAM memory size in GB 8
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Conquest
Please select your region North America
On which server did this happen? All
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 29.03.19 07.00
Summarize your bug My audio cuts out, leaving only sporadic speech and the beginnings of percussives, like explosions and gunshots. Sometimes those don't happen at all.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know, man. Play the game? I have the 3d headphones setting as my audio setting.
What happens when the bug occurs? The audio cuts out, leaving me in a weird sound-void, occasionally broken by an enemy soldier shouting (Where an enemy player is) or the beginning of a boom.
What should be happening instead? The sound should be happening normally, and not tossing me into the necrozone.

I've been away from the game for a few months. When I came back to it I encountered a weird bug I had seen once or twice before in my ~200 hours of gameplay, where all audio cut out, leaving me deaf to the world around me, except odd exceptions. I could hear soldiers clearly shouting, even though really I shouldn't have been able to over all the explosions and gun shots. I could occasionally hear the beginning of an explosion or gun shot.

I restarted the game, and within the first match afterward, it happened again. I repaired the game, then launched it again, and the same thing happened. Within the first match, all audio cut out and that's all I was left with.

Im having this issue too ive played BFV since BETA and yesterday my audio just disappeared. Not during a game mind you but when i launched the game to run Firestorm and i suddenly realised there was no noise at all. I tested other games e.g Apex as it is another Origin game and BF1 and others out of Origin too and those all worked. No idea what caused it and have tried a number of things to get it working again. Have validated game files, reset the audio settings and useed both headset and speakers (physically and game inputs) and have re-installed the game fully and the Audio is just .... gone!

    My DxDiag is attached

It looks like you could upgrade to Windows 10 build 1809. Search "Windows Updates" in the desktop search bar to check for pending updates. It's possible that "could" fix that, but do you run any mixers or other overlays in the background while you're playing BFV? They could work for other games but for some reason not be compatible with the latest version of BFV.

    Have you:

    • Right-clicked on the game in Origin and selected "Repair" before launching?
    • Unplugged your devices and reinserted them back into the PC?
    • Right-clicked on the sound icon in your taskbar and selected "Troubleshoot Sound Problems."
    • Reinstalled Origin.
    • Performed a clean boot and then immediately launched BFV. (This is how we can figure out if it's a third party program conflicting with the game)

Sadly, this is a bug we can't fix. I tried all of the suggestions in this thread (and multiple others from Reddit, forums etc)

This has been the #1 priority on DICE's bug-fix to-do list for a few weeks now, see here: www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/wiki/known_issues

I also have this exact same issue, I've just uploaded a video to YouTube about it. @EA_Blueberry would you be able to pass a link to my video on to the developers, please?

This happens to me and my husband (different computers) all the time. It cuts in and out during the whole came. And then if a large blast noises start happening too close, such as V1 rocket or artillery strike, the sound goes out for the remainder of the game. All you can hear is your own person's breathing and talking. Gun shots sound like you just had a grenade go off next to your ear and you can't hear right...like shellshock. The worst is that you cannot hear ANY footsteps except your own, so you do not know where enemies are or if someone is coming up behind you.  Nine out of 10 times, this "shellshock" lasts for the remainder of current game AND carries over to next came. You have to Quit the server, quit Battlefield, and quit Origin to get it to come back.  Very occasionally. the sound will come back on its own, but it's rare and could take up to 10 minutes.

I have the same issue except it seems to crash the driver as well, leading to no audio for any other programs on my PC. All this necessitates a restart to fix.
