Battlefield 5 Joystick Controller Issue

So I went and bought a Logitech 3D Pro just for flying in BFV. I'm currently pretty good on keyboard+mouse, and use the spacebar bind for pitch up. I wanted the joystick for a few reasons:

1. Adjustable throttle. Set anywhere between 0-100%.
2. Adjustable yaw. Not just full or none like keyboard.
3. Most important. No transition between keyboard to mouse for pitch control once you get someone in your sights. Those times at full turn where you feel like you got that kill, but overshoot/undershoot.

Anyway, after messing with the sensitivity/deadband/range settings and trying multiple plug ins for the USB, I get the same "deal breaker" behavior no matter what. I used the practice range for most of my experimentation time, but I did check that the behavior I get there also occurs in multiplayer.

When in full pitch up, ie stick pulled all the way back, it turns much slower than keyboard spacebar. 50-60% would be my guess. You can get full pitch up, but only if the stick is PERFECTLY centered left-to-right. If you throw any roll in there the pitch up rate just drops way off. So, you can imagine, the joystick doesn't get used. I lose every turning battle pretty quickly with it.

When I look at the position in the device properties, it does not show this. The little box with the red cross stays at the bottom but moves left/right, as I move the stick left/right while fully pulled back.

This video; "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zT2tJ0QUaPM", illustrates the problem perfectly.

Could anybody help me out with this issue?
