Battlefield 5 single player and settings will not save

Every time I launch Battlefield 5 it puts me through the opening sequences just like the first time I launched the game. I have completed the "My Country Calling" single player introduction about 10 times now hoping that it would just save but nothing. I have re-downloaded and reinstalled the game twice now and its getting pretty annoying. On top of all this my settings will not save when I quit Battlefield 5 and re-open it. So when ever i want to play this game I have to take 15 minutes to do the opening campaign and rest ALL of my settings. Plus some settings that I want to change require the game to be restarted to work but you can imagine how that is a problem for me. EA please help this is quite upsetting. Thanks.

  • Is there a fix for PS4 platform? I waited to purchase until bugs were fixed. Seems they're not. Played through the intro 4 times after buggy launch. Played again tonight and replayed intro, no progress saved from last night. Back to the beginning for single player🙄

Did anybody ever get back to you? This has been happening to me since launch and I still can’t get it corrected. Any luck?

@CoachRuggeri  this is normally related to windows permission issue with read and write to the Battlefield V document folder. What i means Battlefield V cant write to that folder so it can't save that you done the prologue.

What you can try first is go to the Battlefield V documents then settings and change the PROSAVE_tmp to PROSAVE

If that dont work try this can try is to turn off - Windows Defender controlled folder access.

For console, clear local and cloud saves for Battlefield V and then try again.

  •   @EA_Atic I apologize for not doing this in my response earlier and wasting everyone’s time. I meant to direct my initial question to @DrFluffyB0tt0mz about a possible fix for the PS4 platform. I was wondering if anyone had gotten back to him for a possible fix on the PS4. Thank you for response and your time. I apologize for not making that clear earlier.

@EA_Atic  I deleted the application/game from the library. I have deleted all save data, both on the system and the cloud for PS4. I plan to reinstall tonight and see if that fixes it. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you for your help.

  • Honestly,  this is the first response I've gotten. I just kindof stopped playing it on campaign, which sucks. It was too frustrating. But I see now,  you got a response. So I'll try what they suggested and cross my fingers. Thanks!

  • Disabling Windows Defender controlled folder access fixed my issue.

    thank you very much

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with Battlefield, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
