Battlefield V & Battlefield I (your quick compare?)

I purchased Battlefield I and started a few multiplayer. This has fabulous elements all around to it!  What's your biggest comparison to Battlefield V and Battlefield I?

    • Spotting is turned down quiet a bit in BFV, which I like. There is no generell 3D-spotting anymore, just pinging within your squad. Furthermore, you don´t appear on the minimap for shooting weapons.
    • There is no sweetspot mechanic for sniping in BFV, so you don´t die in one hit so often.
    • Teambalancing in BF1 works better in my opinion. Rounds are not won by the same team over and over again.
    • BFV has the so called attrition system: After taking damage you have one medpack to heal to 100% (medics have unlimited quantity). The second time taking damage you won´t heal fully and have to find a medstation or medic, to not be at a disadvantage in the next firefight. Vehicles have limited ammunition, so you have to drive to a supply station
    • Both games are out of development, so neither of the games will receive new content in the future.

The gunplay is quite different in my opinion - the way guns recoil and such is just great in BFV

I also find the additional movement changes to be quite helpful during gameplay (for ex. ledge grabbing)

Then there is the fortification system, it can really help in some situations - along with the squad call-ins, they are great in every way
  • BF1 superior game, gunplay, maps. The depth ratio is far superior. The number #1 biggest complaint is that everything seems smaller in BFV -

In BF1 you can iron sight targets at further distances, in BFV you wont see them without a 3x scope.

If that was fixed be much better game, everyone says this. Universal complaint

bf1 having superior gunplay is not something that many would agree on tbh. Quite the contrary in fact. I played bfv for a long time and recently went back to bf1 and the experience was much worse than i remembered it. The gunplay is very shallow and also frustrating at time due to gimmick systems like the over the top suppresion.  EVERY SINGLE GUN in bf1 (at average) kicks straight up with no horizontal recoil bias. Spread values render cqb guns useless at ridiculously low ranges, lmgs are most effective when just straight up full auto firing at any range and slr handling only differs in terms of the tapping speed that you can use while maintaining maximum accuracy. Whether or not this is more or less "skillfull" is a different question as denoted by many other before. More complex gunplay doesnt necessarily mean more skillbased. However, bf1 gunplay being rather shallow is simply a fact, no way arround it.

There are a lot of things you can complain about in bfv but gunplay isn't one of them, especially when comparing it to bf1.

  • Battlefield 1: Casual and easy to access. Classes are excellent though.

Battlefield V: More complexity and depth. More requiring.
