Battlefield V Not launching from steam via ea app

I have battlefield V through an ea play subscription on steam, but since updating to the ea app it has not launched, each time I try the ea app gives the error message "an error on our end caused the game not to launch try again a little later". I have tried repairing the game through steam, reinstalling and repairing the ea app and moving the install drive. I have now uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, but it still isn't working. I also own the game through the ea app.
